Why do we worry about how to dress for our first job interview? Why do we spend an hour in front of the mirror to understand what to wear on a first date? Because we know: the first impression is the one that counts. A few seconds can be enough, in fact, to appreciate or detest a person as well as a product, a website, a brand.
How can the first impression be measured?
Five Second Tests are a method of user research that measure what information and what impressions are perceived by the user in the first 5 seconds of the stimulus presentation. Users observe a web page or a brand logo for 5 seconds and then answer simple questions.

For example, after seeing a website page, 5 seconds are enough to answer these questions:
- What is the purpose of this page?
- What elements do you remember seeing?
- A chi è rivolta questa pagina?
- Does this design/brand seem reliable to you?
- What do you think of the design of this page?
