The objective was to verify whether the two samples were aligned with the product’s target audience and the intended marketplace, and to determine which of the two performed better.

Research Goals

The primary objective of this test is to evaluate the sensory differences between the two products (Trial 6 and Trial 7) through a neurosensory analysis involving the senses of smell and taste.

  1. To investigate consumers’ subjective preference regarding the two products.
  2. To evaluate whether the cocoa notes emerge and leave a lasting impression on the consumer’s mind.
  3. To investigate the perceived quality of the two products.
  4. To identify the positive and negative notes.

Test Flow

All participants completed two tastings.
Each tasting was divided into two phases: SMELL and TASTE.
Following each session, participants answered in-depth post-test questions, during which NEUROPHYSIOLOGICAL data were recorded.
