What is Passive Eye-Tracking?

In addition to cases where eye-tracking is consciously and actively used as the control system of a computer, there are many situations in which knowing “where the user is looking” are extremely interesting.

This mode, called “passive eye-tracking” is the basis of a large number of applications due to the fact that humans generally look at the subject of actions, “passive eye-tracking” puts a computer in the position of determining what the subject is, without it being explicitly mentioned. Passive eye-tracking increases the ability of a computer to understand what a user would like to do.
