iAble® PRO-BE® System
iAble® PRO-BE® is a mobile device for communication, equipped with a touch-screen, speech synthesis system and, optionally, scan control. iAble® PRO-BE® is suitable for the communication needs of people that suffer from growing motor or cognitive disease and leverages accessibility to the ICT world for elderly people. If the user needs to anchor the system, an arm is available to attach iAble® PRO-BE® to some structures (table, weelchair, etc) Main Features: The system consists of: » A tablet PC (resistive touch panel) with high mobility and low weight, resistant to shocks, liquids and sand/dust (ProScribe by FIMI Philips); » A software suite (iAble® by SR LABS) for communication with speech synthesis system, to surf the Web, manage Emails, call with VoIP technology, read digital books; » Patented scanning engine to operate the system through high accessibility switches; » Integrated speech synthesis engine (Loquendo TTS by Loquendo); » Wireless data access. Who It Is for iAble® PRO-BE® is dedicated to people that have low movements disease and more Because of its really simple and accessible interface, enabling the use of internet, mail and phone, iAble® PRO-BE® is also indicated for the elderly and people without computer skills. iAble® PRO-BE® can include Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) applications for symbolic language, useful in support, rehabilitation and integration of children with motor and cognitive deficits. Scan Control In order to improve iAble® PRO-BE® accessibility it has been developed an innovative scan control device, able to capture even extremely weaks movements through facilitate switches.
